The college has a fully automate digital library with internet enquiry facility where all activities like the lending of books, purchase of books, lending of audio visual material, book bank are computerized. The library has an important role to play in an educational Institution. It is an essential core element and dynamic instrument for the promotion of educational research. The founder of the college Rai Bahadhur Sohan Lal had a passion for good books. So the library of this college started functioning with the inception of the college in 1939 at Lahore. The library is well equipped with the latest books. It has 23,521 books in stock. It subscribes to various journals on education. Books are properly Classified, Catalogued & arranged systematically for the users. Research and reference sections are well stocked.
The library has an open-shelf system where members of the staff and students can consult books freely and make their own selection. An M.Ed. student is issued four books at a time whereas a B.Ed. student is issued two books at a time for a period of 14 days.
The Library Building
The library has a rich collection of rare documents presented to this college by Padam Bhushan Sh. Suraj Bhan Ji, former Vice-Chancellor, Kurukshetra University and Panjab University, sh. T.R. Vaid, a renowned author & former Principal D.A.V. College, Ambala City, Principals and teachers of different colleges and many teachers of the university have donated their own collection of books to the Library.

The library has a photocopier where members of the staff and students can get documents photocopied at concessional rates. Members of the faculty recommend books to be purchased for the library. The jackets of new arrivals are displayed on a board.
There are total Seven PCs. (One Server) other Five for Librarian, Computer Operator, Circulation alongwith Alice for Windows, Library Software of softlink Asia Pvt. Ltd. Faridabad, for Automation of the library and Two for Inquiry Purposes, One for Internet purposes.

A highly qualified and experienced librarian heads the library. A restorer, a library attendant, a Computer operator and one apprentice support her in her work.
